Doing so the burner(s) fired normally. Thank you for your prompt response! Cheers! John Smith Hello John Smith, We apologize for the inconvenience. If your Eccotemp L5 will not ignite, please review the following troubleshooting guide: 1. Check your propane tank to determine if you are out of gas.2. Check your batteries to see if they are properly installed. Are your batteries new? If not, try another set. When checking your batteries and encounter corrosion, gently clean the connections with a wire brush and install a fresh set. Be careful when doing this, as battery acid is extremely harmful and poisonous. 3. Disconnect the incoming water line. There is a screen immediately inside of the incoming water pipe that may have clogged over time and is reducing the water flow and water pressure. After following these steps, test to see if the water heater is working. If you are running your L5 with something other than the showerhead connected to the outgoing water line, such as plumbing, disconnect this and try to operate the water heater to determine if your plumbing is the issue. You need to have a minimum of 20 pounds per square inch of water pressure to activate and sustain operation of the L5 water heater. If you cannot achieve and maintain adequate water pressure, your water heater will function erratically or not at all. If you have low pressure that is near adequate, please follow the link below to access instructions on increasing your L5's sensitivity to water pressure:https://eccotemp.zendesk.com/attachments/token/vkovnpzfcoips4n/?name=Pressure+Adjustment+Guide.pdf NOTE: Set the gas temp knob to minimum and the water temp knob to maximum. Setting 1: Turn both screws clockwise until resistance is felt. Once the screws are in closed position, please turn both counterclockwise just 1/8 of a turn.Setting 2: Turn both screws clockwise until resistance is felt. Once the screws are in closed position, please perform 1/3 of a turn on the left screw and one full turn on the right screw. Additionally, if the water pressure is too low, the unit will most likely not ignite exactly the same as the opposite. Too much pressure would also cause the heater to not turn on. Please check your water pressure. If you have too much pressure, please decrease it and let us know after. Thank you!
