Some times I don't get hot water ,Then I can restart the faucet and it comes on. At night I'm in bed and no one is using water and I hear a tone. What is that?

    Hello Gregg Miller,

    Good day!

The 45 series are flow based unit. With the right amount of water flow (maintaining at 1.1GPM) the unit will start and will continue unit the faucet is shut off. Please remove any flow restrictor in your faucet to ensure the heaters's performance. Is the tone coming from the unit? You can actually send us a short video clip indicating the noise that you hear to support@eccotemp.com so we could have one of our specialist review the issue.

The water heater has been working pretty good. Recently, when running water into the tub, after about 2 minutes, it goes oce cold. Shutting the water off and trying again, it does the same thing. The separate shower is fine, as is the kitchen. Any suggestions as to the cause and/or solution? Thanks, Lori

    Hello Lori Martinson Cyples,

     Good day!

This issue could be the same as Gregg Miller's(above comment post) except the tone.

The 45 series are flow based unit. With the right amount of water flow (maintaining at 1.1GPM) the unit will start and will continue to run. Please remove any flow restrictor in your faucet to ensure that the water flow is not restricted. we would also suggest to descale it to ensure that the pipeline inside the heater is not clogged.
