The water does not get hot enough
Updated over a week ago

1. Ensure you are not operating the portable tankless water heater above 2,000 feet. While it has been field tested up to 2,000 feet, we only recommend using it below 2,000 feet. For every 1,000 feet above the recommended 2,000 feet, you will see a 10% decrease in efficiency and performance.

2. Be sure you have your gas knob turned to max and your water knob turned a little lower towards min. The less water moving through the water heater will allow for a higher temperature.

Please note: Your incoming water temperature will play a major role in the achievable temperatures your water heater can reach. The colder the incoming water is, the lower the achievable temperature will be. You’ll need to adjust your hot and cold knobs to help counteract the colder incoming water. Variable factors such as incorrect or imperfect installations and varying incoming water temperatures may yield different results.

3. Look into the viewer panes (3 small windows on the front cover) to see if there is a blue flame. If the flame is yellow there could be a cracked gas regulator. DO NOT ATTEMPT to use the portable tankless water heater if a cracked gas regulator is suspected. Visit support.eccotemp.com or call 1-866-356-1992 for assistance with this

matter.
