Congratulations! You’ve just purchased the Eccotemp 20 HI-NG/LP Whole Home Tankless Water Heater and now you’re wondering how to vent it. Have no fear, we are here to help!

Your water heater should come with a rubber gasket in the box.

Please note: The exhaust connected to your water heater is slightly smaller than 3". This is why the gasket is required.

The rubber gasket is very very important. If you do not use the rubber gasket with your 3” vent kit, it will NOT fit correctly. The rubber gasket is needed to ensure you have a safe installation.

Not every installation will be the same, but we wanted to make sure that we explained how the rubber gasket should be used in this super simple tutorial.

First, slide the rubber gasket onto the rim of the 3” venting piece of your choice. There is a crevice that should open up to slide over the venting.

Next, slide that venting piece onto the exhaust of 20HI-NG/LP. You will notice a nice secure fit.

Push the venting all the way down to secure a tight fit and proceed with the rest of your vent installation.
