Ticket Example: FVI12-LP/NG Water Pressure Adjustment

Sara Smith Oct 31 9:37am

We like our FVI-12 but the water pressure is pretty low. Are there any adjustments we can do to help with that?

Thanks,

Sara

Hello Sara Smith,

You may reach our tech support via our live chat feature, a support ticket, or setting an appointment for a call, all on our support page at support.eccotemp.com

For your records your ticket number is located above. We regret any inconvenience that this issue may be causing you and please be assured that we will do what is necessary to resolve it. Please don't hesitate to contact us anytime or to update this ticket as needed.

IMPORTANT:

  1. You need to have a minimum of 20 pounds per square inch of water pressure to activate and sustain operation of the FVI12 water heaters.

  1. If you cannot achieve and maintain adequate water pressure, your water heater will not function properly or at all.

  2. If you have low pressure that is near adequate, please follow the link below to access instructions on increasing your FVI12's sensitivity to water pressure:

Please note that if, after attempting recommended adjustments, you are unable to operate your water heater, you may need to add a water pump to your system. It is recommended that this water pump should be rated at 40+ pounds per square inch. Lastly, the FVI12 is a manually controlled water heater and will not self-adjust based on water flow. The temperature of the water coming out of your faucet or shower should be set using the controls on the water heater. Do not mix hot and cold water at your faucet as this may cause your water heater to produce extreme water temperatures, behave erratically, or not function at all.

If your issues continue to persist, please reply to this email and we will try additional steps to resolve your issue.
