TS: General Troubleshooting the EP-7.0 Without An Error Code
Updated over a week ago

Please note that the EP-7.0 is a low-flow unit, rated at 1.0 GPM, with a 24 degree temperature rise at 1.0 GPM.

Each model includes a ½ gallon aerator that should be installed on the faucet of the installation to ensure the proper flow for this unit to activate properly.

With that said, if you are having problems with your EP-7.0 unit not heating water at the faucet, please follow the troubleshooting steps below:

1.) First, please ensure you are using the proper power supply for the EP-7.0, which is the requirement of at least 30 amps (wire size needs to be #10).

2.) Check for leaks around the water inlet and outlet located at the right-hand side/end of the unit.
3.) Next, remove the bottom panel
4.) Check to be sure wiring is correct (positive, negative and ground are hooked up correctly.)
5.) Using a multi-meter, check the positive/negative at the L1 and L2 to the input and output of the board (black and red wires), as well as at the element located on the side of the unit.

Once you have completed troubleshooting, please replace the cover on your unit, and try the unit again to see if the issue is resolved.
