TS: General Troubleshooting the EP-7.0
Updated over a week ago

Please note that the EP-7.0 is a low-flow unit, rated at 1.0 GPM, with a 24 degree temperature rise at 1.0 GPM.

Each model includes a ½ gallon aerator that should be installed on the faucet of the installation to ensure the proper flow for this unit to activate properly.

With that said, if you are having problems with your EP-7.0 unit not heating water at the faucet, please follow the troubleshooting steps below:

1.) First, please ensure you are using the proper power supply for the EP-7.0, which is the requirement of at least 30 amps (wire size needs to be #10).

2.) Check for leaks around the water inlet and outlet located at the right-hand side/end of the unit.
3.) Next, remove the bottom panel, please refer to the image below.
4.) Check to be sure wiring is correct (positive, negative and ground are hooked up correctly.)
5.) Remove front panel by removing 3 Philips screws.
6.) Once the front cover is removed, please locate the LED light and audible error code button.
7.) Please identify the responsive error code by holding down the audible error code button for 3 seconds. The LED should cycle through the code process and will restart once it achieves two green flashes. Please refer to the diagram below to diagnose the correct code reading and how to resolve the error.

Once you have completed troubleshooting based on the error code, please replace the cover on your unit, and try the unit again to see if the issue is resolved.
